The Forara 40G QSFP+ transceiver modules are hot-pluggable, high-density and low-power, designed for use in 40 Gigabit Ethernet and InfiniBand 4x QDR links. They are compliant with the QSFP+ MSA SFF-8436 and IEEE 802.3ba. Digital diagnostics functions are available via the MDIO. The transceiver modules are are RoHS-6 compliant and lead-free.

Notes:
1. Single MPO-12 ribbon connector (-SR4, -eSR4, -IR4 PMS, -LR4 PSM), duplex LC/PC connector (-IR4, -LR4, -ER4).
2. Minimum cabling distance is 0.5 meters for -SR4, eSR4 and LX4, and 2 meters for IR4, -LR4 and ER4 according to the IEEE 802.3 standard.
3. Links longer than 30 km for the same link power budget are considered engineered links as per IEEE 802.3 Table 87–6. Attenuation for such links needs to be less than the worst case specified for single mode fiber to guarantee operation.
